REPENTANCE

We, as children of God, are aware of the Agape Love of God. That love where God sent his Son, JESUS, to die and shed His blood whereby we may be saved. We, who were the guilty ones, were washed in the Blood of JESUS and were forgiven for our sins. However, as the children of God we also must understand the Judgment of God and how important "true repentance" is to us.

When the prophets came to a town, they were there peacefully or to pass on the Judgment of God. I Samuel 16:4 "And Samuel did what the Lord said, and came to Bethlehem. And the elders of the town trembled at his coming and said, Have you come peaceably?"

A call to "repentance" is going forth in this hour to the people of God.

From Genesis to Revelations the Judgment of God is talked about.

In Ezekiel 1:13-14 we read the description of the Lord who has come to pour out His judgment upon His people. "In the midst of the living creatures there was what looked like burning coals of fire, like torches moving to and fro among the living creatures; the fire was bright and out of the fire went forth lightning. And the living creatures darted back and forth like a flash of lightning."

In Chapter 2 of Ezekiel the Lord says He is sending Ezekiel to the children of Israel. He says they have rebelled against Him. "...they and their fathers have transgressed against me even to this very day. And the children are impudent and hard of heart..." The Lord goes on to say that He is sending Ezekiel to them to preach His warning of judgment.

Ezekiel 3:17 "Son of man, I have made you a watchman to the house of Israel; therefore hear the word at My mouth and give them warning from ME."

In Chapter 9:4,5,6 the Lord sends the angel into the midst of the city to set a mark upon the foreheads of the men who sigh and groan over all the abominations that are committed in the midst of it. To the others He tells the angel to smite and not to have pity. The angel was to begin at His sanctuary and they began with the old men who were in front of the temple.

Revelations talks about this same mark in the foreheads of God's people.

But we have been told that this isn't the Love of God. Well, there is a part of God that hates sin. There is a part of God that is judgment. Where do you stand? Are you one of those who sigh and groan over the abominations that are being committed now? Judgment began at the sanctuary. (9:6) The leaders (pastors, teachers, evangelists, prophets and apostles) will be the first to know the judgment of the Lord. Chapter 11:1-2, 13

It is time for the people of God to repent and turn from there sins and iniquities and be DELIVERED of the demons that cause us to not serve The Living God.

The Eerdmans Bible Dictionary: "Repentance" may represent only regret or remorse over a past thought or action, but in its fullest sense it is a term for a complete chance of orientation involving a judgment upon the past and a deliberate redirection for the future. The Old Testament concept of repentance appears as both ritual action meant to demonstrate repentance, and the prophetic call for repentance. Rituals such as fasting, dressing in sackcloth, sitting in ashes, and wailing were characteristic expressions of repentance. In addition, the liturgical form of the lament might be employed by individuals or the community to express a strong sense of sin. Such rituals were expected to be accompanied by authentic repentance.

Do you call yourself a Prophet? You must preach repentance and the judgment of God. Not just nice and pleasant prophecies

that people want to hear. We have gone too far in this direction.

In the New Testament the prophetic call for repentance is echoed in the preaching of John the Baptist, who called Israel to repentance. The motivation for repentance spoken of by John was the imminent arrival of the kingdom of God (Matthew 3:2) This call to repentance was reissued in the proclamation of JESUS (4:17), which became a call to discipleship. Also read Acts 3:19; 26:20; Galatians 3:25-26; Ephesians 4:5; Romans 11:20 for more scriptures dealing with repentance preached by the Apostles.

The Word of God in Isaiah says that yokes are broken and the oppressed are set free when a fast chosen of God is taking place. Fasting will accompany true repentance.

The truth of God's Word must be taught. The small children know the characters in the cartoons on t.v., they know the words to country and rock music, but they don't know the Lord.

In Jackson, Mississippi there has been over 70 murders since January 1, 1993 mostly black people killing each other. Where are the "true pastors" and people of God to teach these people about JESUS and DELIVERANCE? How many people do you know that read horoscopes? How many of them know this is witchcraft and will bring a four generation curse upon their family? Where are the teachers and preachers? Who is sighing and groaning over the abominations that are committed in the midst? Who will tell the black people that the reason they are being enslaved in prisons is because during the time the people were brought here and made slaves the only type of retaliation was the voodoo and witchcraft they had been taught. Where are the DELIVERANCE ministers that can break these bonds of slavery in JESUS Name.

We need to repent of our neglect of not preaching, teaching and doing the word of God. We need to repent for not falling on our faces and repenting and weeping for the sins that are so great in our land.

SONG OF SOLOMON 2:15 ...take for us the foxes, the little foxes that spoil the vineyards [of our love], for our vineyards are in blossom.

Strong's Concordance:

vines (3754)- garden or vineyard; increase of the vineyard vintage; also (1021) - house of the vineyard and (1004) - house, family, to build, obtain children;

grapes (5563) - a vine blossom, tender grape;

foxes (7776) - jackal (borrower) fox; also, (8168) to hollow out; the palm by extense, a handful, handful, hollow of the hand.

Eerdman's Bible Dictionary: hand - instrument of creativity and production and as a vehicle for strength and action.

Here we have in this scripture the cause of the destruction of our ability to strengthen and build and for us to personally perform according to the Word of God. If the little foxes (demons) are in us they will cause us to be weak and not be able to help others.

Some little foxes (demons) are: lying (little white lie - no such thing), fear of weather/people/dark/sickness, cheating, cursing, watching soap operas, reading horoscopes (that is witchcraft), course jesting, abusing children/spouse/pets, excessive credit card use, smoking, excessive eating, etc.

Anything that controls, drives, harasses or torments you is a demon.

True repentance needs to be dealt with before people are taken through DELIVERANCE. If they are not truly repentant they will not receive true DELIVERANCE.
